McDonald’s execs field questions from farmers and ranchers
At the Nebraska Farm Bureau annual meeting in Kearney, attendees had the opportunity to hear from and ask questions of two executives of the McDonald’s restaurant chain. Following their formal remarks, McDonald’s vice president of U.S. supply chain management/quality systems and sustainable supply Susan Forcell and the general manager of McDonald’s Midwest region Debbie Roberts fielded questions from the audience. Topics included traceability, HSUS, quality standards and global expansion plans. The McDonald’s reps were also asked if McDonald’s would consider doing more to help farmers and ranchers tell their story—and were pleased to hear that the company is planning to feature ag producers in an advertising campaign in 2012.
