Milk futures mostly weak, cash dairy mostly firm

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly modestly lower on spread trade and profit taking. May was down $.03 at $15.55, June was $.01 lower at $15.86, July held at $16.33, and August was down $.02 at $16.74.

Cash cheese blocks were $.01 lower at $1.59. One load was sold at $1.59. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.60. Barrels held at $1.45.

Butter was $.02 higher at $2.1275. One load was sold at $2.1275. The last unfilled bid was on one load, also at $2.1275. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.1325.

Nonfat dry milk was up $.005 at $.85. One load was sold at $.8425. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $.85. The last uncovered offer was for five loads at $.89.
