Milk futures mostly higher, cash dairy mostly lower

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly higher, with the most active months up on spread trade. August was $.03 higher at $16.50, September was up $.10 at $17.15, October was $.08 higher at $17.16, and November was up $.04 at $17.05.

Cash cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.735. One load was sold at $1.7325. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $1.735. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.74. Barrels were up one and a half at $1.685. One load was sold at $1.685. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $1.6825. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $1.70.

Butter was $.0075 lower at $2.655. 13 loads were sold, including three at $2.655. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.64. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.655.

Nonfat dry milk was down $.01 at $.8375. Four loads were sold, including one at $.8375. The last unfilled bid was on two loads, also at $.8375. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.845.
