Milk futures mostly higher, cash cheese steady

Class III futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly higher on spread trade and follow through buying after Monday’s rally. June was unchanged at $16.31, July was $.06 higher at $16.67, August was up $.11 at $17.27, and September was $.07 higher at $17.57.

Cash cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.63. Barrels were steady at $1.415. 11 loads were sold, all at $1.415. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $1.405. The last uncovered offer was for three loads at $1.42.

Butter was $.07 higher at $2.58. Four loads were sold, including one at $2.58. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.575. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.585.

Nonfat dry milk was unchanged at $.90. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $.90. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $.9025.
