Milk futures, cash dairy mixed

Class III milk futures at the Chicago Mercantile Exchange were mostly lower on spread trade and profit taking. U.S. commodity markets are closed Friday for Good Friday. April was up $.04 at $15.23, May was down $.29 at $15.20, June was $.17 lower at $15.38, and July was down $.16 at $15.86.

Cash cheese blocks were unchanged at $1.475. One load was sold at $1.475. The last unfilled bid was on one load, also $1.475. Barrels were steady at $1.4275. Five loads were sold, all $1.4275. The last uncovered offer was for two loads at $1.43.

Butter was $.0025 lower at $2.0875. 10 trades were reported, including two at $2.0875. The last unfilled bid was on one load at $2.0775. The last uncovered offer was for one load at $2.09.

Nonfat dry milk was $.02 higher at $.845. One load was sold at eighty four. The last unfilled bid was on two loads at $.845.
