Water sensor company opening office in California

img_0375A featured company at the 2016 Ag Innovations Forum is building an office in California. Wildeye makes small sensors to detect soil moisture for growers. They have tens of thousands of devices in Australia and New Zealand. CEO James Ridell tells Brownfield Ag News, “Australia has been in drought for decades so we’ve got a lot of experience with coming up with innovations there. So, yes, we’ve got a lot of similarities in the markets that we’ve come from. Ridell did not rule out eventually expanding into the Midwest.
