Indiana State Fair runs on biodiesel

The Indiana State Fair runs on biodiesel.  CountryMark and Co-Alliance are providing all the biodiesel to the state fair shuttles and the antique tractors on the grounds for the fair’s 17 day run.

Doug Henderson with Co-Alliance says the company is providing an Indiana made product.  “It’s a homegrown, American product and emissions are reduced substantially with the B-20 bio-blend,” he says.

Henderson tells Brownfield B-20 is a great option – and not just for tractors.  “If I were king of the world – there wouldn’t be a school bus running that didn’t have B-20 in it,” he says.  Because of emissions standards and because B-20 helps reduce emissions.

He says there have been a lot of misconceptions about biodiesel over the years.  “Your biodiesel is only as good as the base fuel you put it in to,” he says.  “If you put a biodiesel into a not-so-good base fuel than you’re going to have issues.”

CountryMark and Co-Alliance expect to donate 3500 gallons of premium diesel fuel for the tractor shuttles and 500 of gallons top tier gasoline for the antique tractors during the 2015 Indiana State Fair.
