BASF discusses importance of stewardship with Engenia

BASF is emphasizing the importance of good stewardship with Engenia, its new dicamba herbicide formulation.

Engenia recently received registration from the EPA and BASF says the product will be available for use on dicamba-tolerant soybeans and cotton for the 2017 growing season.

On January 4th, BASF held a webinar for agricultural reporters to discuss its ongoing stewardship and education efforts with Engenia. Topics and presenters included:

  • Committed to Stewardship: Andy Goetz, Manager of Regulatory Strategy and Stewardship Research and Development, BASF, will discuss managing weed resistance, preserving land for future generations and the role that stewardship plays within these spaces.
  • Application Education and Training: Dr. Robert E. Wolf will share the importance of proper application technique, information about BASF’s On Target Application Academy (OTAA), and the impact this program is making. Dr. Wolf is an OTAA trainer and helped develop the program.
  • Stewardship in Review: Chad Asmus, Technical Marketing Manager, BASF, on the importance of stewardship and the educational resources available to growers.

Here are some audio excerpts from that webinar:
