Potassium best from foods not supplements

Potassium is an essential nutrient that is best to consume from food – but it can be a challenge to get enough.

Amber Pankonin, a registered dietician, says there are quite a few foods high in potassium, along with bananas and potatoes, two of the highest.

She says it’s not a good idea to start taking potassium supplements on your own if you think you’re not getting enough in your diet.
