John Perkins
John Perkins literally has agricultural journalism in his veins. The oldest son of the Des Moines Register’s farm editor, Jerry Perkins, and the manager of an antique store, Peggy Perkins, John spent 2 1/2 years writing for his high school newspaper. By the end of his senior year, John’s voice got more attention than his writing and he joined the radio and television program. While a student at Iowa State University, John joined the staff of ISU Extension Communications.
John joined Brownfield as Market Reporter in October of 2002.
