Tara Norman of Iowa is a 2012 Ag Youth Award winner.

Tara Norman of Van Wert, Iowa,  is a leader, role model and volunteer – always willing to help out whenever someone is needed.

That’s why Tara, now 18, received a 2012 Ag Youth award, sponsored by KSIB-FM and Brownfield Ag News.

The daughter of Rod and Donna Norman, Tara was a senior 4-H Member of the Decatur County Achievers 4-H Club when she nominated for the award.

Tara has been in 4-H since 4th grade and has continued to prove herself as a dedicated member.  She remained very active in the club- and county-level activities.  Tara is not afraid to step up and be an excellent leader, most times without being asked to.  She has been an excellent role model for youth and has proven that she uses her head, heart, hands, and her health to remain an active 4-Her to guide & help others.

Congratulations to Malea and Morganna Farmer, sisters and 4-H members from Grundy County, Missouri, who won Brownfield Ag Youth Awards sponsored by KTTN in Trenton, Mo!

The sisters were recognized for their outstanding livestock project.

Nebraska teen wins Ag Youth Award from KGMT/KUTT

Congratulations to JoLynn Hennerberg!

This Junior Leader for the 4-H Rainbow Garden won the KGMT-KUTT/Brownfield Ag Youth Award at the Jefferson County, Neb., Fair. Hennerberg showed in both beef and dairy cattle.

Two youth win awards from KAAN/Brownfield at Missouri fair

Emily Schwenneker and Gage Porter won Brownfield Ag Youth awards at the Mercer County Fair this year. Stuart Johnnson from KAAN radio – which partnered with Brownfield – presented the award to the teens.

Schwenneker is a long-time 4-H participant and is active in Princeton High School’s FFA chapter.

Porter is also active in the same FFA chapter.

Congratulations to these talented, agriculturally-aware teens!

Brett Roquet and Allie Ferguson won KBOE/Brownfield Ag Youth Awards in Iowa.

Two teens dedicated to agriculture won KBOE Radio/Brownfield Ag Youth awards at the  Southern Iowa Fair in Oskaloosa.

WRAY Radio announces Ag Youth Award winners

Congratulations to these 4-H members, who won Senior Showmanship awards at the Gibson County, Ind., Fair.

Trevor Martin won in Dairy; Leslie Rogers received the award in Beef; Alyssa Hudson won in Swine; Isaac Boeglin won in sheep; and Cody Scherzer accepted an award in Goats.

Daviess County, Ind., Brownfield Ag Youth Award winners announced

In Daviess County, Ind.,  three talented teens won Brownfield Ag Youth awards. WAMW awarded the prized belt buckles to the Grand Champion winners in Corn, Soybeans and Alfalfa.

They include:

Corn:  Erin Kramer.  Erin is a four-year 4-H member and is in the 7th grade.

Soybeans: Caleb Arthur.  Caleb is a 3-year 4-H member and is in the 7th grade.

Alfalfa:  Zachary Kramer.  Zachary is a 6-year 4-H member and in the 10th grade.

Two win Ag Youth Award at Iowa Fair

WCCI radio was proud to present two Brownfield Ag News awards at the Carroll County, Iowa, Fair.

The first award went to Mary Francque. Mary is a 9-year member of the Milledgeville Hotshots 4-H Club; she is the daughter of Josh & Darci Francque of Dixon. Mary’s 4-H projects include Beef, Horse, Sewing & Textiles, Tractor, Visual Arts, Corn, Public Presentations, Shooting Sports-Shotgun & Vet Science. Mary is currently the Carroll Co. 4-H Federation President; County 4-H Ambassador, President of her 4-H Club and a Jr. Leader. Mary has participated in Horse Bowl, Hippology and Horse Judging at the regional and state level. This year, she will participate in Hippology on the National Level. Mary will be a senior at Sterling High School this fall.

The next award went to Kyle Imel of Chadwick. Kyle is a 10-year member of the Chadwick Achievers 4-H Club. He is the son of Tom and Sandy Imel of Chadwick. Kyle’s 4-H projects include beef and in the past he has taken meat & dairy goats, woodworking, and chickens. He is serving his third year as president of his 4-H Club, in which he is also a Junior Leader. Kyle will attend Highland Community College in the fall as an agriculture major.
