Amie grew up in Walton, Indiana. She majored in journalism and creative writing at Indiana University. Her passion for telling the stories of others led her to become a reporter for various newspapers, where she found a love for telling the story of the agriculture industry. Amie has continued to tell the story of agriculture for Brownfield Ag News since 2017. She and her husband Erick live in Indianapolis, Indiana. They just welcomed their first child in June.
