Indiana State Fair announces 2019 theme

The 2019 Indiana State Fair theme is Heroes in the Heartland.

In a video announcement, Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb says there are so many people in Indiana saving and enriching lives daily that deserve to be celebrated.

He says that is what will happen at the fair this year when farmers, first responders, teachers, law officers, fire fighters, and military service members are recognized.

Hoosiers are encouraged to visit indianastatefair.com to honor their own heroes. The Indiana State Fair will share the stories throughout the year.

The 2019 Indiana State Fair is August 2-18.
