Iowa Scholarships


  • Clive Jaycees Matt Benjamin Memorial Scholarship- Two $1,500 scholarships will be awarded to seniors continuing their education at an accredited college, university, or trade school. The criteria used to select the winner will be school and community activities, financial need and grade point average.
  • Conservation Districts of Iowa Scholarship- This scholarship is being offered to Iowa high school seniors who are pursuing college level programs of study in any field of agriculture or natural resources.
  • GROWMARK Essay Contest-The 2008 GROWMARK Essay contest is sponsored by the GROWMARK System and FS member cooperatives, along with FFA leaders to help students develop writing skills, learn about current issues impacting agriculture, and the role of cooperatives.
  • Iowa State Fair Scholarship- Graduating senior from an Iowa high school, plan to enroll at an Iowa college or university and actively participate at Iowa State Fair (past or present).  Applications Iowa College Student Aid Commission, Attn: Scholarships, 200 Tenth St., 4th Floor, Des Moines, IA 50309-3609, 515-242-3344.
  • Iowa 4-H-  Iowa 4-H scholarships available to Iowa 4-H’ers entering college or continuing their college education. Applicants must enroll as a full-time student (minimum of 12 credit hours) to receive any scholarship award.   • Iowa Angus Auxiliary Scholarship – Must be a member of Iowa Junior Angus, contact Angela Schermer, Iowa Scholarship Chairperson, 8734 Meredith Dr #3202, Urbandale IA 50322, phone: 515-251-6780.
  • Iowa Broadcasters Association Broadcast Scholarships -  Iowa residents who will graduate from an Iowa high school and are planning to enroll fulltime in the broadcast program at an IBA approved Iowa college or university may apply. You must have an above average academic record and provide a 13 page typewritten statement.
  • Iowa Central Community College- Iowa Central is committed to recognizing and rewarding outstanding students. The College awards scholarships to students based on need and grade point average.   • Iowa College Student Aid Commission- Numerous list of college scholarships and grant opportunities for Iowa students.
  • Iowa Farm Bureau- Iowa Farm Bureau Federation will award 54 $1000 scholarship awards to students pursuing the completion of a two or four year degree.
  • Iowa FFA Foundation – The Iowa FFA Foundation is responsible for coordinating scholarships designed to assist students financially as they prepare for a career in the industry of agriculture.

  • Iowa Jersey Cattle Memorial Scholarship- Projects and accomplishments in raising Jerseys as well as other academic successes or community projects. Contact Stewart Lyon, 2691 Hwy 63 South, Toledo, IA 52342, 515-484-6890.

  • Iowa Lakes Community College – Offers a variety of scholarships to help students afford a college education.
  • Iowa Soybean Ag Scholarship Program- The group provides scholarships for students interested in pursuing a career in agriculture or related field.
  • Iowa State University College of Ag- More than one million dollars in scholarships are offered every year to students enrolled in the College of Agriculture.

  • University of Northern Iowa- Offering students many ways to fund their college educations.
  • Upper Iowa University- Upper Iowa University offers four levels of merit scholarships to recognize academic achievement for incoming freshmen at UIU’s Fayette campus and also offers a variety of ways for students to fund their education.
