Meghan Grebner featured imageMeghan grew up on a diversified family farm operation near Washburn, Ill. She majored in communications and animal science at Western Illinois University. Her love of the swine industry took her to Virginia to manage a farrow to finish swine operation before moving back to Illinois in 2006.  While Meghan’s roots are in row crops and livestock, she and her husband, Brian, are trying their hands raising specialty crops.  Specifically hops and sweet potatoes.

Her passion for radio started at a very young age. The local noon ag radio program was an everyday staple at the Grebner dinner table – and Meghan would often tell her family one day they would be listening to her on the radio. Several years later they were. In 2007, Meghan was named the Agri-Business Director at WMBD and WIRL in Peoria, Ill. In June of 2011, Meghan joined Brownfield as the Indiana Farm Director.

A graduate of the Illinois Ag Leadership Program, Grebner was awarded the 2009 National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) Horizon Award, which recognizes the top new farm broadcaster in the country.

In her spare time she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, kayaking, cooking, photography, antiquing and anything outdoors.  Many weekends during planting and harvest you’ll find her back in Central Illinois helping out on her family’s sixth generation farming operation.

Meghan and Brian currently reside near Indianapolis with their two dogs and cat.
