Ken Anderson featured imageKen Anderson is a reporter for Brownfield, based in Lincoln, Nebraska. He grew up on a farm in northeastern South Dakota and attended South Dakota State University in Brookings. His broadcasting career started at KRVN radio in Lexington, Nebraska, where he worked for 12 years. He was previously employed with NC+ Hybrids and most recently with an advertising firm in Lincoln before joining Brownfield.

Among Ken’s honors are the Excellence in Marketing Communications Award from the National Agri-Marketing Association in 2002, the Editor’s Choice Award from the National Association of Farm Broadcasting (NAFB) News Service in 2010, and an NAFB Newscast Award in 2013. He has also received the Nebraska Corn Board’s Media Appreciation Award and the Iowa Soybean Association’s Friend of the Iowa Soybean Farmer Award.

Ken is a past president of the NAFB Foundation board of directors. He has served on the executive committee of the National Agri-Marketing Association and is a past president of the Nebraska Agribusiness Club. In 2014, Ken received the Farm Broadcaster of the Year Award from the National Association of Farm Broadcasting.

Ken is also a graduate of Nebraska’s ag leadership program (LEAD) and serves on the LEAD Alumni Association board of directors.

Ken and his wife Ardella have four children and five grandchildren.
