Julie Harker

Julie Harker was born in Chicago, grew up in the Missouri Ozarks and graduated from SMSU in Springfield, Missouri (now MSU) where she began her radio career on campus at KSMU.  Julie worked in small town radio for several years in Missouri and Arkansas.

Julie joined Brownfield Ag News in 2007 and has been with its parent company, Learfield Communications Inc., for the past 20 years.  Prior to joining Brownfield, Julie was an anchor/reporter with the Missourinet followed by several years with the company’s newswire service, Learfield Data.  She hosted The Healthy Family radio program and has produced podcasts through Learfield Interaction for AgriMissouri and the Missouri Farmers Market Association.  Julie won a Marketcast Award from the National Association of Farm Broadcasting in 2009.  In 2010, she was given the Milt Hakel Award for Excellence in Ag Communications by the National Farmers Union.

Julie and her husband Bob are proud parents of Eric, John and Sarah.
