David Kohli has worked in agribusiness for over 47 years.  During his teenage years, he worked for his father who was involved in egg marketing in Versailles, Ohio.  His father was a broker trading shell egg and frozen egg futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.  David enjoyed watching the ticker tape machine in his father’s office. In 1976, David became a registered futures representative, and worked as a grain merchant with Central Soya (now know as Bunge Grain North America).  In the 1980’s, he worked for Clayton Brokerage and also taught grain marketing classes.   In 1986, David was a commodity futures broker with Ford & Young Futures in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Since the fall of 2008, David is the owner of a Branch Office of Allendale, Inc. out of McHenry, Ill. David’s wife, Jean, works with him and is a commodity futures broker, also.  They have a son, who is a radiologist in Indianapolis, Indiana, and a daughter who lives in Fort Wayne, Indiana.  He also has three granddaughters.
