About a third of Indiana’s crops receive decent ratings

Another warm week in Indiana brought the state’s soil moisture level below the five-year average and added to crop stress.

Corn is now 40 percent silking and eight percent of the crop is in the dough stage; conditions is rated 36 percent good to excellent.

Thirty-seven percent of the soybean crop is blooming eight percent is setting pods and condition is 36 percent good to excellent.

Ninety-six percent of the winter wheat crop has been harvested.
