Needle Nematodes may impact Midwest corn fields

Cornfields in the Midwest have been infested with tiny invisible parasites called needle nematodes. These tiny pests can infect a cornfield through the spring months and damage corn crops.

Jamal Faghihi with Purdue Extension says that Northern Indiana has been hit hard this year with needle nematode infestation in corn fields.
