A few Illinois soybeans are blooming

Illinois soybean planting is about done in spite of last week’s rain.  Farmers also made good progress cutting wheat and green beans. Topsoil moisture is 70 percent adequate to surplus. Corn is 75 percent good to excellent.  Ninety-six percent of the soybeans are planted and a few are blooming. Soybeans are 75 percent good to excellent. Winter wheat harvest is 38 percent complete, a jump of 37 percentage points from last week. That crop is 64 percent good to excellent. Illinois pastures are 71 percent good to excellent.
