Lt. Governor emphasizes importance of Indiana’s ag industry

HolcombIndiana’s Lt. Governor and Secretary of Agriculture says the agriculture industry will continue to play a vital role in the success of the state.

Eric Holcomb tells Brownfield the administration is taking no shame bragging on the victories in the state’s agriculture sector.  “The good news about how we’re attracting international and nation companies to relocate and to grow in Indiana,” he says.  “No one gets that more than folks in agriculture that growth is good.  We want to be in support of that and want to make sure our policies reflect that.”

He says the agriculture is also providing opportunities for future generations of Hoosiers.  “We’re operating in this 21st Century where there is this cutting edge technology being incorporated in the everyday family farm almost like no other industry out there,” he says.  “We’ll continue to do the things that make us this magnet to job growth and agriculture is a pillar of that.”

Holcomb became Indiana’s 51st Lt. Governor in March.
