A member of the Indiana FFA state officer team says National FFA week gave FFA members from around the state the opportunity to tell their state legislators about the importance of agricultural education.
State secretary Sean Harrington says just under 100 members of the Indiana FFA kicked off the week’s celebration by participating in the 2016 Page Day at the Statehouse. “Thankfully we have a lot of support at the state level – because we are a rural state,” he says. “But there is always that opportunity to tell someone who may not have that experience with FFA a little bit more about it. Also give them the chance to see the blue jacket in action and recognize the presence all over the state of Indiana.”
National FFA week runs through February 27.
