TB found in northern Michigan

The Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development confirmed a medium Alpena beef herd positive for bovine tuberculosis (TB) during routine testing. This is the 63nd confirmed herd since 1998 in Michigan.

Beef and dairy cattle producers are invited to an information meeting in Alpena county January 21st to learn how this will impact their farms. Bovine TB is an infectious bacterial disease affecting cattle and white-tailed deer.
