South Dakota producers had an average of more than six days available for fieldwork last week, but late week wind did delay progress in some areas of the state.

71% of soybeans are harvested, a little ahead of normal, and 21% of corn is harvested, compared to the five year average of 32%.

89% of the winter wheat crop is planted and 47% has emerged. Those are both ahead of the typical pace.

The third cutting of alfalfa is 92% complete and 73% of the state has adequate stock water.
