Soybean harvest in Indiana ahead of average

A good week of weather allowed corn and soybean harvest in Indiana to make good progress.

According to the weekly crop progress report soybean harvest in Indiana is 41 percent complete, 12 points ahead of the 5-year average. Moisture content of harvested soybeans was running at 13 percent.

As of Sunday, October 4, corn harvest was 29 percent complete, which compares to 18 percent a week ago and 32 percent for the 5-year average. Moisture of harvested corn was 19 percent, down 2 points from a week earlier.
