NPPC confident TPP deal good for U.S. pork
The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) says the Trans Pacific Partnership (TPP) trade agreement will help ensure that exports of U.S. pork products remain competitive in Asian markets.
Brownfield discussed the agreement Monday morning with Nick Giordano, who oversees trade matters for NPPC. Giordano says NPPC reserves final judgment on the TPP package until it sees the details. But in his words, “There’s nothing at this point that gives us any pause”.
Giordano also talked about the chances of the TPP agreement making it through Congress.
