The added versatility has added business

Clark

A few years ago, Mark Clarke stepped-down as general manager of World Dairy Expo to become general manager of the Alliant Energy Center as the plans for the New Holland Pavilion were being implemented. Clarke says the facility has become a valuable addition to the campus in fact they had to turn a few equine and cattle events away this summer as the facility was already booked. The Pavilions add to the diversity of the campus, as the curtain comes down on World Dairy Expo on Saturday, the shavings on the Coliseum floor will be scraped off, the dirt under the shavings will be loaded up and moved to Pavilion 2 to create a show ring for a horse show in two weeks. Meanwhile the floor of the Coliseum will be scrubbed and then cooled with ice being made early next week for hockey.

Clarke says they have a crew of 31 full time and about 200 part time employees at the Center.
