The Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis is where hundreds have gathered to address key issues affecting the global oilseed and feed grain sector.

HighQuest Consulting helped organize the Summit and managing director Philippe de Laperouse says stakeholders are learning about changes to the value chain.

“In terms of market trends, consumer trends (and) trends relative to transportation logistic handling.”

The Organic and non-GMO forum was a new addition to this year’s Summit.

“(the purpose) was to address challenges in the industry to source sufficient supplies of organic and non-gmo oilseeds primarily, but also grains, to meet growing consumer demand, particularly in the United States.”

The Oilseed and Grain Trade Summit concludes today and the Twin Cities will welcome the conference back next September for its 11th year.
