ADM to expand Deerfield, MO plant

Programs ICONThe ADM soybean processing plant in western Missouri is set to expand. Archer Daniels Midland, based in Illinois, says it will create an additional 2-and-half million bushels of soybean storage at its plant in Deerfield, Missouri.

Company officials say the extra storage will be in place by the end of this year and will allow them to take in more soybeans from their farmer partners in the region “and to handle those crops more efficiently.”

The facility processes soybeans into animal feed and into vegetable oil for biodiesel.
