Dairy Industry Person of the Year
The Dairy Industry Person of the Year is Jim Dickrell. A native of Wisconsin, he attended U.W. River Falls studying agricultural journalism. His first job after college was with a farm magazine in Minnesota but then returned to the home dairy farm for a few years. He then took a job with Holstein World; four years later he joined Dairy Today and has been there ever since becoming associate publisher in 2007. He oversees the publication of the annual World Dairy Expo Official Program. He says a lot has changed in journalism over the years and in the dairy industry, especially the productivity of the dairy cow.
