Minnesota State Fair “best of” winners announced

MN State Fair

The Minnesota State Fair’s “Best of” awards program has named this year’s winners.

Spokesperson Brienna Schuette says the annual contest begins with superintendents, organizers and staff experiencing as much of the Fair as possible.

“From foods, to attractions, to values, to customer service etc.  So (they) try to gather as much information and cover as much of the fairgrounds as they can, and then they nominate exhibitors, vendors or concessionaires for those best awards.”

She tells Brownfield a committee then reviews the nominations and selects winners in eight categories.

Schuette says most of the winners have some common threads.

“They have great customer service, although that’s one of the specific awards, they all seem to have that in common.  Additionally, they’re some of the best-kept stands and rides on the fairgrounds.  You’ll see these folks out cleaning and scrubbing and really taking care of their locations.”
