Agriculture highlighted in Donnelly Days event
Senator Joe Donnelly spent a day this week working alongside employees of Apache Sprayers. He tells Brownfield he’s making agriculture a priority on his Donnelly Days stops this year. “I helped tighten the lugnuts on the wheels, I worked on the computer systems in the cab, and then I had the privilege to drive around in one of them as well,” he says.
“Donnelly Days” are an opportunity to work alongside Hoosiers to gain a greater understanding of issues most important to them.
Donnelly says agriculture is the heartbeat of Indiana’s economy. “Agriculture is what underpins everything we do,” he says. “I want to always make sure we are featuring and paying homage to such an important part of who we are. And Apache Sprayers is a big part of that.”
He says Apache Sprayers not only highlights agriculture as the end user – but puts a spotlight on one of Indiana’s other important industries – manufacturing. He says many of the parts used in the sprayers are also made in Indiana.
