Farmers across the country share similar concerns

Farmers across the country share some of the same concerns – regulatory overreach.

Since his announcement that he was running for American Farm Bureau Federation president, Indiana Farm Bureau president Don Villwock has been crisscrossing the US talking to farmers and Farm Bureau members about the future of the agriculture industry.  Villwock tells Brownfield no matter where he goes – the Clean Water Rule, formerly called the Waters of the US is one of the first issues that comes up.  He says EPA is getting ready to enact its rule August 28. But farmers don’t have all of the rules and regulations to prepare for the rule’s roll out.

Right now, Villwock says he’d like to see EPA to go back to the drawing board and write a Clean Water Rule that works.
