Linking the farm and family

One of the big tents in the center of Tent City is the Family Living Tent. In fact, it all starts with the opening ceremony in the Family Living Tent. Jill Makovec is chair, she says it is all about the host family, the family connections within agriculture and how to incorporate agriculture into your family. The tent features a big stage which will present a collection of local entertainment each day. There are speakers, demonstrations and music. There are also educational booths throughout the tent where you can learn from master gardeners, food preservation experts, health professionals and others.  Makovec talks about the tent:
