Successful Manure Science Review held
Farmers had an opportunity on Wednesday, August 12, to learn the latest in manure management.
Glen Arnold, Extension specialist at Ohio State University says the number of farmers attending Manure Science Review in Darke County is an indication of just how much interest farmers have in manure.
“Farmers are realizing more and more that they just can’t wait until fall and count on good application weather,” Arnold said. “I think farmers are interested in capturing the value of that manure.”
In addition to manure management, Manure Science Review also updated farmers on edge-of-field monitoring research and the new manure application regulations.
