Farmers Union VP calls ag “silent loser” without immigration reform
Speaking at Minnesota Farmfest Wednesday, National Farmers Union vice president Chandler Goule told several hundred people listening to an ag issues forum that farmers will be hit first and hit hardest if immigration isn’t fixed.
“Because of how much labor it takes to produce the food, fiber and fuel for this country.”
He says he believes immigration reform is a presidential issue.
“It’s going to move beyond the Congress and we’re not going to see any major movement until we see what the next administration looks like.”
Goule was joined on the panel by American Farm Bureau president Bob Stallman and Minnesota Conregressmen Collin Peterson and Tim Walz.
Immigration is taking jobs away from Americans. Pay a decent wage and you will have all the labor you need!
