AT&T donates $20k to Minn. FFA

P.J. Aausvold, president of the Minn. FFA, at Farmfest, Aug. 5, 2015.The Minnesota FFA Foundation received a $20,000 boost from AT&T during Farmfest Wednesday.  The state’s FFA President, P.J. Aarsvold, says the money helps young people get ready for the future.

“Really helping prepare with job training at career development events, giving students those hands-on skills, or with our seminars and our different events helping them explore,” Aarsvold told Brownfield Ag News Wednesday following the presentation at Farmfest.

“That’s something that’s going to make our country very competitive and put these people in the right position so that they can have good careers,” said Weirtz, during an interview with Brownfield.

The Minnesota FFA Foundation with use the AT&T donation to support its Career Exploration Program, according to a news release from AT&T, that program teaches underserved high school students more about agricultural careers through hands-on activities and participation in overnight immersion camps.
