Potato late blight found in Michigan

Michigan State University reports potato late blight has been confirmed in central Michigan. Growers in Montcalm, Gratiot, Ionia and Mecosta counties are encouraged to scout on a regular basis and aggressively treat fields where late blight is reported. Symptoms of late blight include small, light to green circular to irregularly shaped water-soaked lesions. MSU says conditions remain conducive for late blight in irrigated potato crops because of weather conditions throughout the season.
