Grassley asks for review of JBS-Cargill pork deal

In his weekly conference call with members of the ag media, Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley discussed a letter he has sent to the Department of Justice, asking its Antitrust Division to review the proposed acquisition of Cargill’s pork unit by JBS USA.

Grassley is chairman of the Senate’s Judiciary Committee, which has jurisdiction and oversight over Antitrust.
