Solid week for soybean export inspections

The USDA reports soybean export inspections for the week ending July 24th were more than what’s needed weekly to meet projections for the current marketing year.

Wheat came out at 439,330 tons, down 53,849 from the week ending July 16th, but up 42,877 from the week ending July 24th, 2014. For the 2015/16 marketing year to date, wheat inspections are 2,814,321 tons, compared to 3,648,820 in 2014/15.

Corn was reported at 1,108,281 tons, 54,118 lower than the previous week, but 292,216 higher than this time last year. At this point in the 2014/15 marketing year, corn inspections are 40,194,128 tons, compared to 41,829,044 in 2013/14.

Soybeans were pegged at 120,413 tons, 186,946 less than the week before, but 19,480 more than a year ago. So far this marketing year, soybean inspections are 48,683,740 tons, compared to 43,010,886 last year.

Sorghum inspections totaled 159,154 tons. That’s a decrease of 9,046 tons on the week and 20,578 on the year. 2014/15 sorghum inspections are 7,958,003 tons, compared to 4,133,541 in 2013/14.
