Behind the Scenes

The 31 hour relay

Invincible.  The only way to describe running a 200 mile relay race with 12 other ag enthusiasts.

No amount of training could have prepared me for Washington hills or heat in last week’s Ragnar Relay Race with Case IH. Our team was able to run, drive, nap and repeat from Blaine to Langley, Washington, in 31 hours. Along the way we saw bacon lovers, duck hunters, and outrageous costumes and vans. The views were spectacular and made the fatigue bearable.

Training for this race has inspired me to continue with fitness challenges. In September, I will be taking on the Agri-Fit Challenge. It’s a 5K Obstacle course in Mid-Michigan with farm related tasks. Flipping tractor tires, carrying water buckets and climbing over hay bales, Brownfield on the Run will continue!
