NCBA’s take on COOL, dietary guidelines
Colin Woodall is vice president of government affairs for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association. He directs the organization’s lobbying efforts in Washington, D.C.
At the Cattle Industry Summer Conference in Denver, we visited with Woodall about the issues surrounding country of origin labeling (COOL) and the proposed federal dietary guidelines. We also talked about NCBA’s concerns related to imports of beef from areas of Brazil and Argentina that have experienced foot and mouth disease (FMD) in the past.
