Farmland values continue to soften
Farmland values in the Midwest, which are down 10 to 15 percent over the past year, continue to soften.
That’s according to a new report from Omaha-based Farmers National Company.
Randy Dickhut, vice president of real estate operations, says while the demand for quality land is still good, the overall market isn’t as aggressive as it has been the past few years. Dickhut also sees 2015 as a pivotal year for land values. He says harvest results and farm and ranch income at the end of year could impact the land market for years to come.
