Wisconsin FFA Stars honored

A night of stars at the Wisconsin FFA Convention on Wednesday.  Ashley Zimmerman of the Spencer FFA was named the 2015 Wisconsin Star Farmer; Ryan Schmitt of the Juda FFA was named Star in Agricultural Placement; Carlie O’Donnell of the Big Foot FFA is the Wisconsin Star in Agriscience and Alex Costello of the Campbellsport FFA is the Wisconsin Star in Agribusiness.

Three new members inducted into the Wisconsin FFA Hall of Fame: Kim Havens of Darlington, Glenn Lindner of Blanchardville and the late Jim Marcks of Black Creek.

The final event of the evening session was the naming of the new state officers for 2015-16

• Section 1: Madison Colbeth of the Clear Lake FFA
• Section 2: Kaitlin Konder of the Glenwood City FFA
• Section 3: Joelle Liddane of the Tomah FFA
• Section 4: Beth Zimmer of the River Ridge FFA
• Section 5: Jason Roth of the Juda FFA
• Section 6: Brenna Bays of the Adams-Friendship FFA
• Section 7: Taylor Halopka of the Colby FFA
• Section 8: Jared Retzlaff of the Omro FFA
• Section 9: Abby Sable of the Chilton FFA
• Section 10: Bryce Krull of the Lake Mills FFA

The new team will meet Thursday morning to determine constitutional offices.  The new state president will be selected from the 2014-15 state officer team and will be announced at the close of the Thursday morning general session.
