Albers named Wisconsin State FFA President

2015-16 Albers

Sally Albers of the Sauk Prairie FFA is the new Wisconsin State FFA President.  Albers served as Vice President in 2014-15.  She is an Ag Education major at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls.

She looks forward to getting to know the new state officer team and hopes they can grow to be as close as last year’s team.  Albers says this is something she has always thought about and “wanting to be an ag teacher someday, what better place to learn than to visit classrooms all across the state.”

She has two main goals as president: one is to extend Wisconsin’s string of membership growth to 32 consecutive years.  The other goal is to make sure the members of her team are thoroughly trained and prepared when they walk into a classroom; “making sure they can rock a chapter visit giving those members the best experience they can possibly have.”

Joining Albers on the 2015-16 Wisconsin State FFA Officer Team:

  • Section 1: Madison Colbeth of the Clear Lake FFA, Secretary.
  • Section 2: Kaitlin Konder of the Glenwood City FFA, Vice President
  • Section 3: Joelle Liddane of the Tomah FFA, Sentinel.
  • Section 4: Beth Zimmer of the River Ridge FFA, Vice President.
  • Section 5: Jason Roth of the Juda FFA, Vice President.
  • Section 6: Brenna Bays of the Adams-Friendship FFA, Parliamentarian.
  • Section 7: Taylor Halopka of the Colby FFA, Treasurer.
  • Section 8: Jared Retzlaff of the Omro FFA, Vice President.
  • Section 9: Abby Sable of the Chilton FFA, Reporter.
  • Section 10: Bryce Krull of the Lake Mills FFA, Vice President

Albers talks about her background and her goals:

The Waupun FFA was named the state’s top chapter for 2015 earning Gold rankings in Student Development, Chapter Development and Community Development.  Waupaca was runner-up with Weyauwega Fremont placing third.

The Cashton FFA was honored for having the best chapter website in the state and Shullsburg won the scrapbook competition.

The convention wrapped-up on Thursday afternoon with total attendance at 3,657.
