Biofuels infrastructure grants available

Ethanol Producer

The Commodity Credit Corporation (CCC) is now accepting applications for up to $100 million in grants to support the infrastructure needed to make more renewable fuel options available to American consumers.  The grants through the Biofuels Infrastructure Partnership (BIP) can be used to expand infrastructure for the distribution of higher blends of renewable fuel.  The money can be used for the installation of fuel pumps and other expenses relating to delivering higher blends of ethanol.

The grants are available to all 50 states, Washington D.C. and Puerto Rico.  Any funding would be matched by the recipient with higher consideration given to offers with greater-than-equal matching funds.  States may work with private entities to enhance their offer.  Applications can be found here and must be submitted to USDA by July 15, 2015.

The goal of the program is to double the number of fuel pumps capable of delivering higher blends of renewable fuels to consumers.
