86th Wisconsin State FFA Convention starts Monday

The 86th annual Wisconsin State FFA Convention runs Monday through Thursday in Madison.

State President Alison Wedig says it starts with a Day of Service.  First, FFA members from across the state fan-out across Madison to assist in various clean-up and maintenance projects around the city.

Then they go to the Alliant Energy Center and the Rally to Fight Hunger where members will package 70,000 meals for Second Harvest.

Finally on Monday evening, the Reflections Program; Wedig says this year they will focus on what the FFA Creed really means to members and how that meaning has changed with the organization over the years.  The FFA Creed was written by Wisconsin native E.M. Tiffany in 1930.

Tuesday will start with the various speaking contests followed by the opening session of the convention at noon.
