Farm Science Review and Field to Faucet receives $1 million boost

Farm Science Review, and Ohio State University’s water quality initiative, Field to Faucet has received a significant boost.

Beck’s Hybrids has announced a $1 million dollar commitment over 5 years.

“Half of that gift is going towards the three research projects under the Fields to Faucet initiative,” said Hilary Price, Director of Corporate and Foundation Partnerships for the College of Food, Agricultural and Environmental Sciences (CFAES). “The additional moneys are going to support the Farm Science Review.”

Price says the Becks commitment is significant in helping the University address one of Ohio’s most pressing issues.

“This is a very large gift that helps us really get up and running and moving on important research that needs to be done to try and help solve this problem,” Price said.

The three research projects under the Field to Faucet initiative include, water quality, nitrogen management and phosphorus management.
