92% of U.S. corn, 61% of soybeans planted

Even after a very wet week around much of the Midwest, U.S. corn and soybean planting continues to move faster than average.

As of Sunday, 92% of corn is planted and 74% has emerged, both well ahead of the respective five year averages. In the first rating of the season, 74% of the crop is in good to excellent condition.

61% of soybeans are planted and 32% have emerged, also ahead of normal.

77% of winter wheat has headed, compared to 67% on average, and 55% of the crop is rated good to excellent, unchanged on the week. 96% of spring wheat has planted and 54% has emerged, with 69% of the crop called good to excellent, up 4% from a week ago.

60% of U.S. pasture and rangelands are rated good to excellent, a week to week improvement of 3%.
